A BRIEF PROFILE OF LADY PAULINE NNENNIA OKORO

(NNE DI OHA NMA)

Pauline was born into the family of Mazi Orji Okereke and Madam Benedette Nwangbo Orji (both of blessed memory) of Udunma Umenta, Amuvi.

She is married to Sir Mazi Goddy Okoro of Mgbokwo, Umenta, Amuvi, and they are blessed with five children.

Her primary education was at St. Patrick School, Amokwe, Udi while secondary and tertiary education/workshop took place at:

  1. Youths Commercial Institute, Port Harcourt.
  2. College of Technology Enugu (Part-time).
  3. Federal Technical Teacher’s college Akoka, Lagos.
  4. University of Benin, Benin City.
  5. Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON).

 

WORKING LIFE

Pauline was a career confidential secretary, having worked in that capacity at the following places.

  1. Stella Maris College Port Harcourt.
  2. Public Service Commission, Enugu.
  3. Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu.
  4. University of Lagos, Akoka.

As a result of the transfer of her husband to Warri, she switched to teaching and transferred her service from University of Lagos, Lagos to the Federal Ministry of Education. She was posted to teach at the Federal Government College, Warri. After many years, the mass transfer of Federal teachers in 2005/2006 saw her moving to Federal Technical College Uromi, Edo State from where she voluntarily retired in 2008.

 

SPIRITUAL LIFE

Pauline is a catholic woman. She is regular at church, and belongs to the following pious societies:

  1. Catholic women Organization
  2. Confraternity of Catholic Christian Mothers
  3. Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria

She is a lady of the Knight of St. John’s International (KSJI).

 

SOCIAL LIFE:

Pauline loves her village Amuvi, and her town Arochukwu. She is very active in the family, village and town meetings and has served in various capacities in all of them. She is a past President–General of Onyemaranwanneya Women Union, Amuvi.

 

HOBBY:

Pauline is an avid reader. She also loves singing and listening to music.
